PFAA Summer Youth Theatre Session One

Prescott- PFAA Summer Youth Theatre Session One (June 14-25) for Ages 6-14 — Session One of the Prescott Fine Arts’ Summer Youth Theatre Program 2010 still has enrollment spots open. The two-week session from 1-4 pm daily will be under the direction of Karen Murphy, who has her MA in Humanities/Theatre Arts and more than 20 years of stage experience in acting, directing, costuming, and playwrighting. Bayou Theme — Session One, designed exclusively for ages 6-14, will take participants on a theatrical journey through all the elements of producing a show — from “page to stage” as they create music, songs, dances, characters, dialogue and a complete story for their orginal play that they will perform as their closing show on June 25 at 5:30 pm at the PFAA Theatre. The two-week intensive workshop will take its inspiration from the folk lore, the folk music, the jazz, the blues, and the other sights and sounds from down along the Bayou of Louisiana. The two weeks will be creative, educational, and lots of fun! Sign-Up Info — The two-week session costs $175 per student.
